Scouts BSA Troop 1029

We are A Purpose Driven Troop: Our values are the purpose, learning is the process, fun and personal growth are the results.

Troop 1029

Established in February 2019, our troop is youth-led, which means it is heavily focused on youth leadership development. With guidance of the Scoutmaster and trained Adult Leaders (Scouters), the Scouts run the troop meetings, plan the programs & activities, and provide leadership among their peers.

We are continuously recruiting girls ages 11 to 17 (grades 6 - 12) to be part of our all-female troop chartered by Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church, located in the Pike Creek area of Wilmington, DE. We meet every Monday night from 7-8:30 PM. The scouts plan the monthly campouts all year long, and participate annually in a week-long summer camp. We camp throughout the region of the greater Wilmington area.

The Link Between Troops 1029 & 29

Our troops are linked, but operates separately (29-boys & 1029-girls). We are both chartered by the Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church in the Blue Hen District of the Del-Mar-Va Council, and we share a single Troop Committee. This format makes it convenient for families who have scouts in both troops because we meet on the same night.
